In the realm of academic competitions, the National Science and Maths Quiz (NSMQ) reigns as a distinguished symbol of intellectual prowess and intense rivalry. With a pristine legacy spanning three decades, it rightfully claims its position as the most renowned and esteemed academic contest in the country.
Recently, a firm known as EN Analytics and Consulting embarked on a comprehensive research endeavor, resulting in a meticulous ranking system that unveils the top 100 schools in the NSMQ over the past decade, from 2013 to the present. Notably, since 2013, the competition format evolved to feature three schools per contest, adding an extra layer of excitement and inclusivity to the proceedings. At the apex of this ranking, we find Prempeh College and Adisadel College, both epitomizing excellence with an impressive score of 550 points. Following closely, Presby Boys' Secondary School, popularly known as Presec-Legon, claims a well-deserved third place with 545 points.
We, at Prempeh College, have consistently showcased our mettle and garnered a fervent following among NSMQ enthusiasts. With an unbending commitment to academic excellence and relentless preparation, we proudly hoist three championship trophies in the last decade and have amassed an astounding five trophies in total, firmly establishing ourselves as a formidable force in the competition. Adisadel College and Presec-Legon equally deserve commendation for their stellar performances, cementing their status as NSMQ powerhouses.
The ranking methodology employed by EN Analytics and Consulting is characterized by meticulousness. To be considered for a specific year's ranking, schools must reach at least the one-eighth stage of the national competition, providing a baseline for inclusion. Each school's ranking points are determined by their achievements in the final stages, serving as a reflection of their exceptional accomplishments.
While opinions may differ on the EN Analytics' ranking of the best 100 schools in NSMQ, it is indisputable that Prempeh College, Presec-Legon, and Adisadel College stand as academic fortresses, setting a high standard for achievement and inspiring future generations to follow in their footsteps.
